This is one of the areas less frequented sides of Formentera because the wind usually blows from that direction, making the water choppy compared to the more populous side of Formentera. However a treat lies in store should you be lucky enough to catch a day when the wind is not too strong or if it is blowing from the West. If the opportunity presents itself we really recommend this itinerary to you. 

The Eastern side of Formentera is where you will discover small, laid back and casual bays such as “Es Pujols” and “Es Caló”. These evoke the old hippie free spirit vibe of Ibiza. 

Each bay has its own special character and there are plenty of great restaurants. We recommend Chez Gerdi which offers superb upmarket Italian cuisine or you might want to go for local fish restaurants wonderful fresh seafood such as  Can Rafalet or Es Caló.

For those who consciously chose to avoid the overcrowded 5 star version of Formentera in preference for a little more adventure and a lot more calm and privacy this is the perfect itinerary for you.
